STAR BRIGHT

Every once in a great while,

When gazing out into the vast universe,

One sees a special star,

A point of light

That shines brighter than all those around it.

You are that star!

That point of light that stands out

From among all the others.

Love and grace surround you,

Fill you, flow from you.

All those whom you touch

Are bathed in your warm, safe and knowing glow.

The brightness of your being

Enlightens the lives of all who know you.

You are all things good,

All things lovely

All things peaceful

All things worthy.

As the light that has walked among us dims,

Your spirit-light grows ever stronger,

Glowing ever brighter, ever clearer.

It slips, almost unnoticed, into our hearts

Filling them with love,

With peace,

With grace,

With hope.

As you take your rightful place

Among the stars of heaven

Rest peacefully in the bosom of God

And

Look down upon us with compassion and guidance.

Help us be … more like you.
